Julianna Johnson — Operations Manager
Julianna effectively runs all aspects of Destra's financial and legal business Operations. Prior to joining Destra in December 2006, she worked with the Community Foundation Serving Boulder County coordinating and participating in various programs, philanthropic campaigns and grants committees. Julianna's background is in Account/Project Management, Program Coordination and Logistics and her interests include traveling, reading, writing, volunteering, scuba diving, canoeing and outdoor mountain activities. She received a Bachelor's of Science degree in Public and Corporate Communications from Butler University and brings over 15 years of professional experience in both corporate and non-profit settings.

Melanie Bartels
As part of our team since early 2003, Melanie has been a continual support to Destra’s U.S. Marketing efforts in addition to her role as a member of our international Operations Team. Before joining Destra, Melanie was Project Manager at a Denver-based Advertising Agency where she managed the production of multi-tactic campaigns and direct mail pieces. Melanie studied Marketing and Management at the University of Colorado at Boulder and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration as well as extended study in Tourism Management, one of her passions. She enjoys working at Destra for the opportunities it provides to “live what we teach” and to see the ways Destra impacts the people of organizations around the world—not only the bottom line.

Melinda Makin
As Destra's international presence has been expanding, so has our Global Operations Team. Melinda, the office manager in Melbourne, is responsible for a variety of roles, ranging from managing client materials and supporting our Australian clients to maintaining local administration. Prior to joining Destra last year, she managed a number of major accounts as a senior consultant for various recruitment companies. Melinda studied Human Resources, Marketing and Computing at Victoria University and has a Bachelor of Business Degree in Business Management.
