David Hannegan photoDavid W. Hannegan, Jr., Ph.D.
David is a principal in Destra Consulting Group, LLC, a Boulder, Colorado based organization development firm. Over the last 22 years, David has had considerable experience in the deployment of operational improvement transformation efforts, and the design and delivery of training and education programs for a variety of populations. He brings expertise in areas of leadership development, building high performance teams, virtual teaming, and capacity-building for change acceleration.

Most recently, David has been working as the account lead with several healthcare systems on their Lean Transformation efforts. This includes consulting to their senior deployment team, ensuring that Lean and Change Management are integrated into their improvement efforts, and developing internal capability. David's leadership development experience has been with executives and high potentials to enhance their skills to be more effective interpersonally and organizationally. This includes utilization of 360° assessments and personal coaching on an ongoing basis. He has also worked extensively in the virtual team arena, both in team start up and team-leader development, to enhance team effectiveness in a dispersed work environment.

David comes to Destra from GE where he was a Program Manager for Training and Education at the Corporate Leadership Development Institute in Crotonville, New York. His other work experience includes the Professional and Organization Development Department at Ernst & Young LLP, Management Education for Storage Technology Corporation, and Assistant Director for the Professional Development Program at the Colorado Outward Bound School.

David received an M.A. and Ph.D. in Speech Communication from the University of Denver, and received his B.S. from Union College, NY.

 

Marte PendleyMarte Pendley, Ph.D
Marte is a Partner with Boulder-based Destra Consulting Group, LLC working worldwide with clients in aerospace, financial management, health care, high tech, manufacturing, mining, retail, telecommunications, and transportation. Over the past twenty years, she has worked with executives, managers, and project teams to help develop leadership and team skills, plan and lead change including Lean and Lean/Sigma implementations, and communicate and promote involvement in new strategic directions.

Her practice includes consulting to management teams confronting the challenges of business transformation including rapid growth, deregulation, mergers and acquisitions, process redesign, technology implementation and other changes. Marte is known for using a variety of innovative approaches to help clients move beyond current patterns of thinking and acting to achieve results.

In her former life as a corporate executive, Marte was Director, Human Resource Development and Director, Corporate Communications for Mervyn’s Department Stores, a $4-billion plus subsidiary of the Dayton Hudson Corporation. Prior to her tenure with Mervyn’s, she was Director, Training and Management Development for The Gap Stores, Inc. She began her private consulting practice in 1992 in San Francisco, a city she still considers her second home.

Marte is proud to serve as an adjunct faculty member for the Shingo Prize for Operational Excellence and as a Shingo Prize Examiner.

She holds a Ph.D. in Human and Organization Systems and a MA in Organization Development.

 

Aled Roberts photoAled F. Roberts - Australia Affiliate
Aled brings to Destra over 25 years of broad ranging, practical experience as a senior manager and consultant on three continents with global companies. Based in Melbourne, he is Destra's Australian affiliate and currently works as a consultant, trainer and coach for several clients on a variety of areas including Change Management and Lean/Six Sigma.

In all his work, Aled's primary objective is to ensure that his clients fulfil their potential as businesses, teams and individuals. This is achieved through focusing on service quality and providing them with fit for purpose process improvement and change acceleration tools and frameworks.

Throughout his career Aled has been closely involved in all aspects of improving and reengineering business processes - from evaluation through documentation, design and improvement, to implementation. He was part of BHP Billiton's global Shared Services initiative, where he held a number of positions in the areas of process reengineering and internal customer relationship management.

One of Destra's lead consultants and faculty in our work with Telstra, Aled has worked with a number of our other Australian clients including Orica, Rio Tinto Barrick Gold and National Australia Bank.

Prior to joining BHP Billiton, Aled held senior financial positions with the French and Australian subsidiaries of the US automotive parts manufacturer, Dana Corporation, twice a winner of the prestigious Malcolm Baldridge Award, and Price Waterhouse in the US and Canada.

Aled combines his chartered accounting qualification with a degree in French and German. He is proud of his Welsh heritage and speaks Welsh at home with his wife and two sons.

Ron Gager, M.A., U.S. Senior Associate - Ron has a reputation for making the complex simple and learning a pleasure. He specializes in organizational strategy, change leadership and project management.  He was instrumental in the design and launch of several corporate-wide initiatives including GE’s WorkOut™ and Change Acceleration, General Motors GoFast!, Columbia Energy’s transformation and leadership alignment work and Xerox’s Baldrige winning quality initiatives.


Colleen Kindler, M.B.A., U.S. Senior Associate - Colleen is a “Best of the Best” Six Sigma Trainer  to BHP and GE Capital.  Formerly with Mercer Management Consulting, she managed Baldrige-based quality improvement initiatives and facilitated teams to redesign business processes for clients including GE Nuclear, General Motors and IBM.  She assisted AT&T Network Services in optimizing the effectiveness of their business processes in an effort that lead to a Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. Colleen co-developed the Black Belt DMAIC curriculum for GE Capital and was Destra’s deployment coordinator and faculty on the entire suite of offerings for BHP Billiton’s Six Sigma corporate-wide initiative.

Francisco Melero, M.A., U.S. Senior Associate - Francisco brings over 15 years experience in program management, change management, organizational leadership and strategic direction from his work in numerous international organizations. As a consultant in the areas of quality and management, his areas of expertise include Six Sigma, ISO 9000, Total Quality Management (TQM), Software Quality Assurance (SQA), Project Management and Change Acceleration. Francisco’s career includes experiences with large organizations as well as governmental departments and non-profit agencies. He spent ten years at International Business Machines (IBM) where he contributed to the quality of the company’s software products and the organization’s certification to the ISO 9001 standards.  He was one of the lead consultants on the BHP-Billiton and Breed Automotive engagements where he led Change Management and Six Sigma courses worldwide.  Francisco is a native of Venezuela and is fluent in Spanish.
