Executive and Leadership Development Process
Destra offers a full range of services to assess leadership needs and to design programs, curriculum and processes to reach development goals.  These services include the application of 360° assessments (including Benchmarks, Extended DISC, Emotional Intelligence, and Myers-Briggs), executive coaching, and delivery of Leadership Development courses.

Forming and Leading Virtual Teams
This course focuses on the challenges faced in forming and leading virtual teams.  Included are sections on the characteristics of effective leaders and team members, how to create a sense of trust in a dispersed work environment, utilizing technology, dealing with cultural differences, and maintaining a sense of direction and team unity. The course includes the book Tools for Virtual Teams - a how-to-guide and based on research a former Destra partner conducted on virtual teaming. The guide includes sample agendas, exercises, worksheets, and other useful tools and techniques.

Leading in a Team Environment
We developed this session for individual contributors newly promoted to a team leader role in their organization. We cover essential skills such as leadership styles, leadership vs. management, decision making, accountability, listening, conducting performance reviews, providing corrective action, coaching, and team start-up. The material is covered in a highly experiential manner, so there are multiple opportunities to practice new skills and receive feedback.

New Manager Assimilation
Our structured process helps ensure that new managers have a productive and positive start with their new direct reports. Our process promotes conversation around such important issues as expectations, leadership style, organizational history and context, and plans for moving forward.  We have learned that it’s much more effective to have a formal start-up process than leave it to chance!    
           
Self Directed Work Teams
This course is designed for organizations that want to develop self-directed work teams.  We cover the myths, realities and benefits of self-directed teams, critical disciplines for all effective teams, and the essential practice for self-management. The practice explored developing codes of conduct and accountability, decision making, communication and problem solving, and how to develop alignment on work practices and operating agreements.

Defining Your Mission and Vision
Destra has a proven process for defining your Mission, which we define as your business entity's unique reason for being. This inlcudes clarifying key customers, geography, and the value proposition.

Defining and being able to clearly articulate a vision is a an essential leadership skill.  We help individuals and leadership teams define their ideal, unique image of the future and translate it into a compelling statement.
