Strategy and Systems

Questions to consider:
  • Do the people in your organization understand your market, your competition and your strengths well enough to gain and sustain a competitive advantage?
  • To what extent does your organization support and reward desired behavior and the cross-functional sharing of information?

Assessing and Aligning Organizational Initiatives
There are many elements that need to be in place to ensure the success of any organizational initiative.  The use of our Systems and Structures alignment tool allows you to assess the degree to which existing organizational structures will support or inhibit the desired change, and identify the changes that must be made to ensure sustained change.

Appreciative Inquiry
Appreciative Inquiry is a methodology created by David Cooperrider at Case Western Reserve University [US] for creating a compelling group or organization future. It is based on multi-disciplinary research which demonstrates that focusing on what is working creates faster, more powerful and sustainable change than focusing on what is broken.

Balanced Scorecard
A balanced scorecared is a highly visual business performance measuremenet tool that links strategy and operational action. It enables users to identify key performance objectives/initiatives in four areas, to judge whether they will indeed drive the desired strategic results and to track and assess progress.
The typical structure for a balanced scorecard views the organization from four perspectives – learning and growth; business process; customer; and financial.

Diagnosing the Communication Environment
This is an action-learning process that can be used to create a baseline from which to develop communication strategy and plans.  It engages internal teams along with the consultants to discover the strengths and weaknesses of the current communication environment.

Communication Strategy and Implementation
Following an assessment of the current communication environment, Destra can join its expertise to yours to develop a dynamic strategy and implementation plan. The strategy and plan will clearly identify your communication goals, target audiences, key messages, the best media and methods to use and feedback loops for learning how essages are being received and acted upon. If desired, we can bring expertise to help you assemble a skilled internal or external team to make sure your communication goals are met.

Inventing the Future: Future Search
Future Search is a whole-system methodology for creating the future direction of the organization or of a group. Traditionally,a three day design enables all members of the system to come together to review their past, decide what aspects of it to carry forward, creatively envision the future and create an action plan to get there. Based on the work of Marvin Weisbord.
